On May the 23rd, Educational Science Research Center successfully convened the seminar on“Big-Data-based Educational Innovation”. President Zongkai Yang attended the meeting and made the conclusive speech. Leading officials from departments of graduate students, scientific research, human resource, finance section, college logistics group, information section, technology development and subject construction office all attended the meeting, along with the secretaries and deans from colleges of education, psychology, educational information technology, national research center, information management, computer science and math and statistics.
Professor Zongkui Zhou made the keynote speech on“Big-Data-based Educational Innovation”at the conference. He pointed out that Big Data in education field can provide new inspiration in our research methods. Big Data has the potential to realize differentiated teaching, individual learning, it can also provide intelligent service, precise management and simplified ways of scientific research. The deputy director of Educational Science Research Center, Bing Wang suggested the necessity of clarifying scientific research tasks, optimizing the distribution of resources, as well as create a mutual beneficial structure among colleges at the university, so as to establish a high-end leading platform to support the strategic development of the university.
Experts reached an agreement on the fact that“Big-Data-based Educational Innovation”is essential in the long run, which also determines the direction of future development. They all believed that it is important to establish a solid foundation to support the construction of Educational Science Research Center, thus to realize multifaceted cooperation and collaborative innovation.
President Zongkai Yang emphasized the significance of unifying recognition and understanding. He stressed that it is very important and meaningful to actively train talents in innovative ways, to create more innovative research methods as well as structures. Besides, it is also meaningful to reinforce the role of Educational Science Research Center as a collaborative innovation platform, to realize cross-disciplinary interaction and collaboration, to effectively support the construction of first-class disciplines.
