主讲人简介:
Xie Zhaoyang is a National Thousand Talent Plan awardee. Currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer of CETC Group and Shanghai Eastern China Computers. Prior to the current position, he founded China Telecom Cloud Computing Company and served as the founding CEO with $6 billion revenue in year 2012.Before that, he worked in the United States and held senior engineering and management positions with Intel, Sony Electronics, and Sun Microsystems for over 20 years.
He is also an honored professor at Universities, including The George Washington University and Central China Normal University; is the author of the book“Cloud Computing: Planning, Deploying, and Operations”, and its sister work“Big Data: Planning, Deploying, and Operations”, published in Chinese. He also held 96 patents, 68 software copyrights, more than 30 papers and gave more than 30 speeches on the subject worldwide.
He was educated as a physicist and holds a Ph.D. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.He is a father of“magnificent seven”and a proud parent of three MITs and one Harvard.
报告前瞻:
随着大数据热潮在国内的兴起,各类玩家纷纷试图寻找将大数据整合到自身IT系统中的可能性,原本的IT公司和从业者更是绞尽脑汁地想要介入到大数据业务中开拓新的市场。在此背景下,一大批冠以大数据标题的书籍上架,并不乏受到热捧的作品。但是众多谈大数据的书籍中反复引用的几个所谓“经典”例子,不过是作者们的臆想,不具有很好的说服力,甚至一些例子所谈论的情况与大数据这个词汇一点关系都没有,譬如廉价机票,啤酒和尿布等。媒体中对大数据产业未来几年的发展更是持有超级过热地描述,甚至对2020年的大数据产业规模有5万亿的惊人估值,俨然成了Big Data = IT的味道。然而,大数据的应用实情或许并不像许多例子中所描述的那样可以用来当兴奋剂,现阶段我们对大数据,从概念到应用,连认识都没有统一。本着科学传播可用于实践的知识与技术的理念,本报告从技术层面的内容讲解出发,立足于大数据的实践和商业价值,从规划、实施、到运维来阐述大数据的科学知识和应用。
